This policy explains what the JurisArc app and the jurisarc.com website collect, why, and the choices you have. JurisArc is operated by Injivo, Inc. ("we", "us"), 1968 S. Coast Hwy #5994, Laguna Beach, CA 92651, United States.
What we collect
| Information | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Email address | When you create an account with email, Sign in with Apple (Apple may give us a private relay address instead) or Sign in with Google | To sign you in and contact you about your account or purchases |
| Study progress: completed lessons, stars, practice sessions, your answers and scores, chosen exam date, daily goal and guide character | While you're signed in | To back up your progress and sync it across your devices |
| Purchase records: which course you bought, when, the transaction ID, and the access end date the app calculates | When you buy or restore a course | To unlock the course on every device you sign in on, handle refunds, and keep accounting records |
| Support messages | When you email us | To answer you |
We never receive your payment card or bank details. Payments are handled by Apple.
We don't collect your location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera input, health data, or advertising identifiers.
What stays on your device
Without an account, everything stays on your phone: your progress, XP, streak, in-app inbox, sound and notification settings, essay self-scores and any post-exam check-in answers. Of these, only study progress is sent to us, and only once you sign in. XP, streaks, essay self-scores and check-in answers are never uploaded.
Who processes data for us
We use a small number of service providers, each only to run JurisArc:
- Supabase hosts our database and sign-in system, in the United States, and sends sign-in emails.
- RevenueCat checks App Store purchases and tells the app which courses you own. It receives your JurisArc account ID, your purchase receipts, and the exam session and access end date for a purchase.
- Apple processes payments, refunds and Sign in with Apple under Apple's own privacy policy.
- Google handles Sign in with Google, if you choose it, under Google's own privacy policy.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or as part of a merger or sale of the business (in which case this policy keeps applying to your data).
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- We don't track you across other companies' apps or websites.
- We don't use your answers to make decisions about you outside the app. Practice scores are never sent to a law school, the State Bar or anyone else.
How long we keep data
We keep your account and synced progress until you delete your account. Deleted data can stay in our hosting provider's encrypted backups for up to 30 days. Purchase records may be kept longer by Apple and RevenueCat where tax and accounting law requires.
Your choices and rights
- Use it without an account. The free lessons and practice work entirely on your device.
- Delete your account in the app (Settings, then Delete account) or by email. See Delete your account.
- Access or correct your data: email support@jurisarc.com. We'll reply within 45 days.
- Sounds and notifications are off-switchable in Settings. The app doesn't ask for push notification permission.
California residents: under the California Consumer Privacy Act you can ask what personal information we collect, use and disclose; ask us to delete or correct it; and not be discriminated against for using these rights. We don't sell or share personal information, and we don't use sensitive personal information beyond what's needed to provide the service. You can make a request yourself or through an authorized agent at support@jurisarc.com; we'll verify the request by confirming it from your account email.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Our database only lets each student read and write their own records, and purchase records can only be written by our server after verification. No system is perfectly secure, so please tell us at support@jurisarc.com if you think something is wrong.
Children
JurisArc is made for law students and bar applicants. It isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.
The website
jurisarc.com is a plain static site. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, page, time and browser) for security, for up to 30 days. Fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above. If a change affects how we use information we already have, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect.
